Samarinda, infosatu.co – Students of SMA Negeri 16 Samarinda gained new insights into education and life in Germany through a seminar titled Motivation for Success held on Thursday 20 February 2025.
The event featured keynote speaker Anton Adam Raushenbach, accompanied by his wife, Tisya Anugrah.
During the seminar, around 50 students from grades X and XI participated in an interactive session discussing Germany’s education system and the speakers’ personal experiences living there.
The Principal of SMA Negeri 16 Samarinda, Abdul Rozak Fahrudin, highlighted the importance of this event as a rare opportunity for students to gain global perspectives.
“We hope this seminar broadens students’ horizons, encouraging them to dream big and pursue educational opportunities abroad,” said Abdul Rozak.
The session was lively, with Anton and Tisya not only explaining Germany’s academic system but also sharing their personal journeys to success. They emphasized the importance of courage and curiosity in seizing new opportunities.
Students’ enthusiasm was evident during the Q&A session, where they eagerly asked about scholarships, student life in Germany, and challenges faced when studying abroad. Anton emphasized that maintaining a positive mindset and working hard are key to obtaining quality education.
Beyond the seminar, Anton and Tisya took a tour of the school and were impressed by the facilities. They also interacted with students in several classrooms.
A highlight of the visit was when Anton tasted Indonesian dishes prepared by grade XII students during their practical exam. Among the various dishes, tempe orek became his favorite.
“This food is delicious! I love its unique and savory taste,” Anton said enthusiastically.
The event concluded with the presentation of a certificate to the speakers and a group photo session. The principal expressed appreciation to everyone involved in making the event a success.
“This is a valuable opportunity for students to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded individuals,” he concluded.
